In a joint venture with the Edge Hill Fire Company of Abington Township, (Company 400), Second Alarmers stations one Paramedic Ambulance at Fire Station 400 during the hours of 0700-1900 7 days per week. Bearing the county designation of Medic 383, the unit normally assigned to this station SARS 9 covers calls in Glenside, North Hills, Edge Hill, and parts of Roslyn and Ardsley and Upper Dublin Township. In May 2007 the Crew was relocated from it's former location at Weldon Fire Company, Company 300 of Abington Township, due to a need for a facility to host 24 hour operations out of station 383 which are planned for the immediate future. Second Alarmers expresses our deepest thanks to the Weldon Fire Company for over 15 years of a joint venture at their station. The North Hills Crew hours have evolved significantly over the years ranging from a "power shift" of noon-7PM weekdays only to the current hours. |
