Emergency Bloodhound Team Attends National Search Dog Training Seminar in Black Mountain, NC

From September 22nd through September 28th, 2007, Second Alarmers' Emergency Bloodhound Team was joined by numerous Search Dogs handlers from around the country in a week-long dog training seminar held in Black Mountain, North Carolina. 

Among search dog teams attending were Vail Colorado's Mountain Rescue Team, ILL-WIS Search Dog Unit from Illinois-Wisconsin, South Carolina Search & Rescue Dog Association, Brunswick Search & Rescue of NC, West Virginia Search & Rescue K9 Team, Byrdshounds of Ohio, The Kentucky State Medical Examiner's Officer, Alpha Team SAR, North Alabama Search Dog Association,

and our hosts for the week, North Carolina Search & Rescue Dog Association.

The team participated in  rigorous drills which included not only our "element" which is urban, but also mountainous terrain at elevations of 3000+ feet, wildland areas
