- Brandy joined our team after the EBT/SARS
merger with a talent not shared by any of the other dogs. Brandy is an "Airscent"
Dog, which means she tracks the scent of ANY human using the wind as an aid.
Brandy, although not a trailing dog, can also scent-discriminate the scent in
the air if she is given a scent article, like the Bloodhounds. Brandy's
technique gives the team yet another tool to assist in the location of missing
subjects EVEN when a scent article is not available. In
addition to Airscenting, Brandy is a Cadaver Detector who can locate deceased
persons, or parts thereof, on both land and water.
