Welcome to the home of the Second Alarmers Association and Rescue Squad of Montgomery County, Incorporated (SARS). Established in 1938 as a Canteen Service, today SARS has evolved into one of the busiest EMS/Rescue Agencies in the Delaware Valley handling over 10,000 emergencies each year proudly serving the Townships of Abington, Upper Dublin, Upper Moreland, Whitpain and the boroughs of Hatboro, Jenkintown, Rockledge and Surrounding Communities.

SARS operates out of the following EMS Stations; Willow Grove Station 381 located in Upper Moreland Township, Elkins Park Station 382 in Abington Township, North Hills Crew Station 383 in Abington Township, Hatboro Borough Station 384, Whitpain Township Station 385 and the Float Truck Station 386 a constantly relocating unit based upon call need from the center of our territory. In addition our Main Station in Upper Moreland Township has the designation of Station 380 for Administrative purposes and the emergency responses of Officers, Bike Team, Mass Casualty Trailer, Rescue, Special Service and Water Rescue Units. Second Alarmers is also responsible for a section of the Pennsylvania Turnpike between Fort Washington Exit 339 and Philadelphia Exit 351 for both EMS and Rescue Services.
